Septet was created by a desire to see dance that existed solely for the purpose of dance. It is a manifestation of dance inspired directly from the immensely beautiful music of Vladimir Martynov. There was little planning for this piece, when I walked into the studio to create I was inspired by the dancers and the music and created on whoever was in rehearsal at the time.
