Non Quantum is a piece that came about after much thought about the apparent division within our society. I had been thinking about quantum computing and the title of this piece derives from the binary nature of the piece, thus Non Quantum. I tried to create two opposing groups throughout the entire piece. Sometimes one group will be dancing to one instrument in the music and the opposing group a different sound. At the same time there is unity. The costumes reduce the binary quality, instead of us either being a 0 or a 1 perhaps we are a 2. Or maybe, we are just all humans.
